Team Evaluates Turn of the Century Stained Glass Piece

We have a fun job! We were asked to evaluate an older stained glass piece owned by the Rocheleau family. The family recalls that it was originally owned by Henri Oscar Rocheleau (1876-1956), an American law enforcement officer and politician who served as twenty first sheriff of Worcester County, Worcester, MA, (picture shown).

When we arrived, we found a gorgeous piece of art. Attached are photos and a description from our facebook entry:

Mark and Keith inspecting a potential auction item. This gorgeous stain glass piece is a turn of the century arts and crafts example of figurative art, artist currently unknown at this time, but definitely well trained! We are hoping to learn a lot more about this beautiful piece of art.

We are not sure whether this piece will be auctioned or if it will remain in the family’s collection, but we will continue to learn more about the piece to assess its fair value. We will keep you up to date!
